Use this checklist to choose a contour pillow and get it ready for use. Compare the dimensions, choose your pack size and read the unpacking instructions. For Derila Ergo, the user guide specifies 6 to 8 hours of expansion after unpacking and warm machine washing for the removable cover.

## Step 1: Choose your shape and pack

- **Compare the fit you want**: Note what you like or dislike about your current pillow on your own mattress. Compare length and width for the pillowcase, then consider the center and side heights separately. The Derila Ergo user guide lists 54 x 36 x 12 cm overall; that is not a measurement of its height under your head.
- **Check adjustment**: If you need removable layers or fill, look for that feature in the exact model. Derila's base user guide does not document it.
- **Choose your quantity**: The offer includes single, two-pillow and four-pillow packs. Choose the number of pillows you need.
- **Compare the options**: Our [pillow buying guide](/en-us/best/best-pillow/) explains shape and care, while the [pack-price guide](/en-us/prices/pillow-prices/) sets out the ordering options.

## Step 2: Unpack and allow time to expand

1. **Read the instructions**: Keep the user guide and care information with your bedding documents.
2. **Allow expansion time**: The Derila Ergo user guide specifies 6 to 8 hours after unpacking.
3. **Check orientation**: Follow the diagrams for the exact pillow instead of assuming the higher edge always belongs in the same place.
4. **Check comfort on your mattress**: Compare your usual positions without forcing your head into a raised or tilted position. The expansion period describes the foam unpacking; it is not a promised adjustment period for your body.

## Step 3: Plan cover care

The [Derila Ergo user guide](https://derila-ergo.com/user-guide?l=en) permits warm machine washing for the removable zippered cover. Follow the separate care label for the foam insert. Keep clean bedding ready for your regular wash-day rotation.

## Final order checklist

Confirm the pack quantity and final total before paying. The recorded checkout displayed a 60-day return or replacement guarantee from purchase; check opened-item eligibility with the seller.
