If reheating and defrosting cover your routine, start with the budget solo options rather than paying extra for a grill element that will sit unused.

Before comparing the individual cards, run through three filter questions:

1. Will you use the grill for browning regularly, or do you only reheat meals and thaw frozen food?
2. Does your largest dish, including handles, sit flat and rotate freely inside the cavity?
3. Does your counter space cover the exterior dimensions plus the manual’s ventilation gaps and full door swing?

Toshiba: grill and combined operation, not convection

The matching Saudi MW3-AG20PE offer lists Microwave, Grill and Combined modes. Toshiba’s Italian model page lists the appliance type as a microwave with grill without mentioning convection, and Toshiba’s French product page uses a 3-in-1 title for a 20L grill microwave without listing a convection fan. We corrected the previous convection description: do not read a 3-in-1 label as a promise of a convection baking oven, since LG UAE’s microwave buying guide notes that grill models have limits and do not replace oven baking.

Choose the Toshiba if you will use the grill alongside microwave heating. Its dated price (≈ 720 when checked on 10 August 2026) is lower than LG’s in this shortlist. Because Toshiba’s Italian and French pages list different external depth figures for the same model code, we use those manufacturer pages only to confirm the function type and do not transfer European electrical or dimensional specifications to the Saudi offer.

LG: compare listed capacity and controls

The LG MH6535GDS lists a 25L capacity, Smart Inverter and a grill function (dated price ≈ 831 when checked on 2 August 2026). Compare it with the Toshiba when you want different usable space or prefer LG’s control layout, after checking your actual dish dimensions. Extra listed liters and an inverter label on the product listing do not by themselves establish more even heating or guarantee that a wider dish will clear the cavity walls.

Budget options: when solo is enough and what extra spend buys

If your kitchen routine is reheating leftovers and defrosting frozen ingredients, a solo microwave avoids paying for an unused grill element. The Nikai 20L 700W Solo with Auto Menu has the lowest dated price among the available cards here, while the Nikai 20L Digital Touch and Clikon 20L Digital Solo offer touch panels at the same listed 20L capacity.

Check whether paying more adds a cooking function such as a grill or only changes the control panel.

Measure the dish, cavity and location before buying

Whirlpool’s microwave sizing guide distinguishes internal usable space from external cabinet dimensions and reminds buyers to allow room for the door to swing open. Because required ventilation clearances vary by brand, with LG Gulf Support specifying 20 cm above and 10 cm on the sides and back for its countertop units and warning against enclosed cabinets, while Panasonic North America suggests 6 to 12 inches above, always use the exact manual for the model you choose:

1. Measure your largest dish’s length, width and height, including handles and any permitted cover.
2. Compare the cavity, turntable diameter and rotation space; listed liters alone do not decide fit.

4. Confirm the door opens without obstruction and you can safely insert and remove hot dishes.
